What could be greater? JOHN MAYER 2010

I had the awesome opportunity to see John Mayer for the 4th time last night! However, this time was different...I could see the whites of his eyes from the fourth row....the closest I've ever seen him! My bosses' daughter, Stephanie, was awesome and got me pre-sale tickets so we were able to get incredible seats!
Anyone who knows me, knows that I could listen to John Mayer all day everyday (and sometimes I do :) While I actually think he is somewhat obnoxious in all of his media hoopla, his music is inspiring to me. In a time when I feel that lyrics and music are just going down hill.. (with lyrics like, "I wanna be a billionaire so fricken bad..") It is so refreshing to listen to his meaningful lyrics, and incredible guitar skills.

He still pulls crazy faces, which is pretty hilarious to watch, but I personally think it shows his passion for what he is doing.

I was able to get some great video of a few of my favorite songs!

It was great girls night out with Calie, Katie, Cassi, Britney & Monica!

An Amazing Night!

So first off I just have to say this girl is one of my favorites! I always have a blast when we hang out! I'm so lucky to have such a fun, exciting, and incredible best friend!

Tuesday we went to the Britney Spears/Pussycat Dolls concert! I have to admit to everyone that Britney Spears has always been my guilty pleasure! There is just something about her music that makes me want to dance and sing at the top of my lungs! I know she is a crazy psychopath that probably doesn't deserve the fame, but what can I say....I love her music! Unfortunately I was a dufus and didn't take my camera, but I got a few crappy pics with my phone.

Our seats were amazing...4th row nearly center. It was definitely in my top 3 favorite concerts! She puts on such a great show, even if she is most likely lip syncing the entire time! But honestly, my opinions is that if she was really singing then it would have sucked! All that huffing and puffing from all the dancing and running around she does!
Anywhos...it was an awesome night with Cassi, and I'm so glad that she loves to go do these fun crazy things with me!

Disney on Ice once again (Picture overload!)

Well, my mom decided that she really wanted to take the kids to Disney on Ice again this year. So with Billy in Phoenix for a couple days I decided I would go with them! The kids (my neices & nephew) crack me up every time I go anywhere with them. Saige had brought her sunglasses and Cierra forgot hers, so I asked Cierra if she wanted to wear mine. She said no, and then a couple second later said "Well a little bit I do, Raquel". LOL, she can never make up her mind!

Before the show we went to Applebees for lunch. Jarrett cracked me up when our waitress came over to ask if everything was okay and he said "Its great, tell the chef he is a great cook!"

We had pretty good seats, we were on the 13th row. Here is my mom with Cierra and Jarrett before the show. We went to Chuck E Cheese not to long ago and she was just completely entranced with the little show they did, so we knew she would love this!

This years show was called Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journey. Their first stop on the Journey was The Lion King. I was actualy really impressed with the costumes on this one! Also, I LOVE my new camera for things like this, I got way better pics this year than last!

Next was the Little Mermaid. As you can tell, this is one of Saige's favorites, and definitely my favorite! She wore that hat the entire day, even into the visitor's center at Temple Square! She was also so excited to get a snow cone, because she didn't get one last year!

Next was Lilo and Stitch. I've actually never seen this movie, but was surprise at what great music they had in it!

Finally, it was Peter Pan, which was great too! All the kids were impressed with the flying!

After the show we walked around the ESA and saw all the sites (i.e. retired jerseys, the Jazz race car) Then we took trax downtown to see the tall buildings and walk through Temple Square. The kids were so excited to ride in the train! Here are just some pics of the rest of the day!

And...once again the girls were completely exhausted by the time we were going home! How do they sleep like that, I mean honestly!

It must have been my lucky day!

For Billy's mom's birthday we got her tickets to the Martina McBride concert. So yesterday Monica and I set off to go see the show. We made our first stop at yummy Cafe Rio for dinner. Then went to get in line at the concert so we could get decent lawn seats. So, while waiting in line (we were there about 45 minutes before the doors even opened) the radio station started giving away tickets. The announcer said, " I have second row seats for the first person to bring me a dollar bill with two 9's and two 3's in the serial number." So I checked the dollar bills I had gotten for change that morning, and sure enough I had one. I ran over there and showed him and he traded our lawn seats for second row seats!
Anyway, Chris Young opened up. He's not very well known, he won Nashville Star a couple years ago. I have his cd so I knew most of his songs so it was fun. Here we are with him behind us...

Next was Jack Ingram. We knew quite a few of his songs, so it was fun to sing along.

Then it was time for the big show...the one we were all waiting for! We had both seen Martina before and enjoyed it alot, so we were so excited to be this close! When Martina started we were able to stand up and go to the front of the stage... we were literally 5 feet away! Martina always puts on a good show, because she has so many hit songs herself, but then she threw in a little Pat Benetar, Phil Collins and Bryan Adams. It was so much fun! It was definitely one of the funnest concerts I've had the opportunity to go to!

Here's a little tidbit of Martina...

Thanks so much to Monica for going with me! It was so much fun to have a girls night with you!.

Also a big thanks to everyone who let me butt in line with them at the bookstore after the concert so I could get my copy of Breaking Dawn! You girls are great!

Yay for John Mayer!

So for those of you who don't know...I'm a little obsessed with John Mayer, and I got the chance to see him for the third time last night! It was a blast! (Except for the onry old ladies sitting behind us that kept yelling at us to sit down, and then proceeded to start throwing things!... if you are reading this crazy ladies...GET OVER IT! You can't expect to go to a concert and have people just sit there and not have fun!)

It was so fun to have a girls night with Calie and Cassi! Thank to both of them for coming and making it memorable!

Fourth of July Festivities!

We had a pretty busy Fourth of July weekend...I don't think I have stayed up that late three nights in a row in years! Thursday night, my brother had a BBQ at his place, it was quite the little shin dig. We ate, played a little poker, and pretty much just chilled most of the night.

Friday, the girls all got together and went to Stadium of Fire, to see Miley Cyrus...and can I just say she was totally over-rated! The Blue Man Group was a lot more entertaining than she was! But we still had a great time. Billy's little sister danced out on the field, and she did awesome. The fireworks were probably the best I've seen at the Stadium of Fire in a couple years.

Saturday night we went up to my Aunt's cabin in Schofield and had a hotdog roast and watched the fireworks over the lake. Billy got a little bit of fishing in, and although we got a little rain, the rainbow kept all of the kids in awe! It was a great night making smores and just hanging out with family!

Now that its Sunday...all of our big plans are over and we are going to be recuperating all day!
