Blessing Our Princess

Saturday, October 8, 2011, was Irelyn's Blessing Day! What an amazing day! Of course our princess looked beautiful, and everything turned out so perfect!

Billy really wanted his Grandpa Painter to bless Irelyn because he blessed him too. So, we arranged to have the blessing at home so it was easier for Grandpa (who is 91 years old!) Grandpa did an amazing job, and gave Irelyn the sweetest blessing.

Irelyn was so lucky to be surrounded by her wonderful family! I'm pretty sure she only got put down once while she was asleep, and even then it was only for about one minute!

Three Generations

 Irelyn was able to wear my blessing dress, which was so special to me! I am so happy that my mom saved it this long, and was able to get it all ready for Irelyn to wear too! I wanted her to have something new and flashy, so Grandma Monica was able to make a headband more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! It will be a wonderful thing she can wear for her baptism, have for her wedding too (if she wants), and pass down to her daughter one day! 

 We feel so blessed to have this little sweetheart in our lives! It is so funny how she hasn't been with us long, but we can't imagine our lives without her! She has just brought so much light and joy into our lives, and has her daddy completely wrapped around her finger! Pretty sure Mom is always going to be the bad guy, because I don't know if Dad will be able to tell her no! Haha!

3 Months Old!

Irelyn is officially a quarter of a year old! Three whole months! She has grown so much in the last month, and her personality is really starting to shine!

She is even more fascinated with her hands than before. I will catch her just examining them so intently, and eventually finding a way to get them into her mouth.

She loves to talk to you, and will have entire conversations with you! She loves to tell you all about her day and dreams. As long as you are talking about her, she is happy! :)

She went to her first movie this month. We took my nieces to see The Lion King. I was hoping she would sleep the whole time, but surprisingly she just sat on Grandma's lap and watched the movie most the time!

Three months brought her blessing day, and she looked beautiful. She also finally got to meet most of her family from Idaho.

She is still wearing 0-3 clothes, but we are starting to transition to 3-6 month because of the cold weather. She is so close to doubling her birth weight. She was 12lbs 14 oz fully clothed at the doctor the other day. (Yes, I was an overprotective mom that was worried that a small little cough and goopy eye was something major and took her to the Doc!! Turns out, she just has a clogged tear duct, and maybe a little cold, but more likely just dry air...better safe than sorry I guess :)

 Still, unfortunately, not sleeping through the night, but hopefully she catches on to that soon for mommy's sake! Still loves her bath, and we love her little extra leg roll on her left leg!

We are so excited for all the new little milestones to come!
