Day Out with Thomas

Today my mom and I took the kids and went up to Heber for the Day Out with Thomas ride on the Heber Creeper. Kanyon has been obsessed with Thomas and all the trains forever, so we thought he would have a blast getting to actually ride Thomas!

The entire ride up there Kanyon was so observant. He would spot the train tracks on the side of the road as soon as they came into sight. He also couldn't believe how many tractors there were on the side of the road (throughout the construction). After going through the tunnel up Provo Canyon, for about a mile down the road he kept saying, "Go Again Grandma!" He thought it was so cool!

When we first got there I thought he might hyperventilate with all the trains and tracks! However, getting him to smile and pose for a picture was impossible!

Once we were on the train he was so excited! I wish I would have had my camera ready when we started moving because the look on his face was priceless! They really should have warned us that they were going to start going!

Even the girls thought it was fun! Jarrett is getting to old for this stuff, so he was WAAYYYY to cool for it, but I know he secretly had a blast!

I finally caught a smile...a few seconds later he started blowing rasberries at me!

This was the best pic I could get of them with Thomas. The guy that was taking the professional pics that you could buy, at least got Kanyon looking at the camera, but he had the biggest scowl on his face!

On the way back down the canyon we decided to stop at Bridal Veil Falls and let the kids walk over to the waterfall. They thought it was so fun to go across the bridge. I wasn't sure it was that fun, seeing as it was freezing and raining! However, it was beautiful and green!! I also finally decided I would be in at least one picture from the trip. So this would be my 35 week belly. It's getting big and uncomfortable!!
I'll be glad when I don't have to share my rib space any longer!
It was a fun day, and I was so glad I got to spend it with all the kids, especially Kanyon! He was in heaven! I will say though...it will be a long time before I have 4 kids....It was EXHAUSTING!!! I'm sure everyone thinks my nieces and nephews are my kids when we do stuff like this...so they were probably thinking, 4 crazy kids with one on the way! Crazy Lady!! Haha!

Maternity Photoshoot

When my friend Lora asked me if I would like to have some maternity photos done, I wasn't quite sure that I wanted to. However, I decided that since every picture that has been taken of me since becoming pregnant has either been a cell phone self portrait, or a really awful shot of me, that maybe if I got some professionally done, I would remember the beauty of being pregnant, not just remember feeling like a whale all the time!!

So, my friend Lora with Transparent Photography came down early one Saturday and took these pics. I am so happy with how they turned out!

Gotta love Salem Pond! Such great spots for photos!
