Family Pics 2012/Irelyn's 6 Month Pics

I feel like I am very redundant with what I put on Facebook and on here, but my hope is to make this blog into a book one day soon, so I will continue to double up :) My friend Jeff Hill took some amazing family pics of us and some 6 month pic of Irelyn for me! I love how they turned out! We took the family pics out at my Grandma's farm in Goshen, and I think it was the perfect place! Then, Jeff set up his little studio for Irelyn's beautiful pictures!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Baby Girl! - 6 Months

Wow, people do not lie when they say your babies will grow up so fast! 6 months have flown by already! Irelyn has quite the personality now at 6 months. She definitely knows what she wants and will go after it! Her favorite things to go after are the remotes, food and Toby! Her sleep patterns have improved some. She has slept through the night 3 nights in a row now, thanks to her new sound spa that projects onto her ceiling! Let's hope it sticks! She is a pretty calm and content baby, and really stares you down when she's trying to figure you out! Especially with new people. She got a new jumperoo for Christmas, and won't spend more than about 2-3 minutes in it before she is crying...this girl does not like to put weight on her legs! I don't think she will walk until she's 2! Haha! She still isn't super mobile, she prefers just to be wherever you are.

She is enjoying trying new foods, and even got her first taste of cheesy bread this week. Basically, if you put it in front of her, she wants a taste! I have a hard time eating in front of her without her lunging toward my food! We've given her a sippy cup to play with, and she almost knows exactly what to do with it. She will pick it up by the handles and put it in her mouth. Now if she would just tip it back she would have it down. The only time I have gotten a bad reaction is when I gave her a little cookie to try...I think it was the dry texture that got to her!

At her doctor's appointment today she weight 15 lbs 10 oz (38%), and was 25.5 inches long (36%) Her weight for length was 47% and her head was 10%. So we have a perfectly average little girl with a tiny head :) She doesn't love shots and does that silent cry ( you know the one where there are crying so hard nothing comes out) until I can pick her up and give her loves, then she was okay!

This sweet little girl has her daddy wrapped around her little finger! Because of his broken leg he has spent a lot of time just sitting around. She has stayed home with him while I go to work the last few days, and she just loves to chill on the couch with him while he plays his games, or watches tv! She loves watching Pocoyo on Netflicks and always gets a big smile on her face when the elephant comes on the screen! She still loves shopping with mommy, and has even gotten big enough to sit forward facing in the stroller! She loves being able to look around! She went through a mamma's girl phase for a few weeks there, but has finally snapped out of that and will go to just about anyone again!

I'm excited to see what the next 6 months brings, I know they are going to have  a lot of big changes for her! They need to go by about half as fast though! I'm not ready to be thinking about her first birthday!
