Tagged..HIGH SCHOOL TAG

Okay so Lindsey tagged me FOREVER ago and I've been putting it off because my memory is terrible and I couldn't remember back that far! I'm getting too old! But anyways here it goes...

  • If you could go back and tell your teenage self one thing, what would it be? All the drama isn't worth it! Once you are out of high school, and in the real world, none of it even matters!

  • Did you do any extra curricular activities in high school? I was a cheerleader and that was about it.

  • What did you do with your free time? Free time with cheer was pretty much non-existent. However, when I found the time, I would pretty much just hang out at who's ever house was the party house for the night, and drive around town. Nothing too fun.

  • Coolest part about being a teenager? If you were to have asked me that when I was a teenager I would have probably said that finally being able to drive, or being a cheerleader was the coolest thing, but now that I'm older and wiser I would have to say it would be having met all of my friends that I now consider my BF's for life!

  • Did you have a boyfriend in high school? Yeah a couple, but no one really seriously. Billy and I started dating our senior year, but didn't really get serious until after high school.

  • Songs that come to mind: Too many to think of! We jammed mostly to old school rap...2 Pac, Snoop, Dre. One that popped into my head while making that list was Juvenile's "Back that A** up" I loved that song! I'm going to go download it now!

  • If you could change one thing, what would it be? I would have done Dance Company as well as cheer.

  • What did you think you would be when you grew up? I wasn't exactly sure...come to think of it...I'm still not completely sure.

  • Craziest thing you did in high school? I could tell you but then I would have to kill you! J/K Seriously I wasn't very daring or crazy back then! I'll think about it for awhile and update this post if I can think of anything crazy :)

As far as who I want to tag: Any one who can remember that far back and wants to do it, and I encourage those who haven't updated thier blogs in weeks to do it!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a great father's day. We got a chance to spend some time with my dad, and also Billy's dad and grandpa. The day started out at my parents house where we enjoyed the company my parents, my bro's, my sister in law and my nieces and nephew. Its been a while since I saw my nieces and nephew, and I just can't believe how big they are all getting! Little Saige is just so dang smart! She found a little bug with wings and she was certain it was a fairy with pixie dust, and she told me that the bees we saw on our little exploration where drinking the nectar from the flowers! What a doll.
After our little party at my parents, we went up to Salt Lake to Billy's aunt's house for our annual father's day party. There we got to spend time with Billy's extended family, including his awesome 88 year old grandpa that still moves and shakes like a 50 year old! We had a fun picnic and played some silly games. All of the dads had to locate a piece of bubble gum in a giant plate of whipped cream and then be the first to blow a bubble. It was pretty hilarious, even grandpa participated (which wasn't very good for his partial denture!) It was so great to be around both of our families over the weekend!
The Painter Family

Jarrett (my nephew), My Dad, and Greg (my brother)

I am so grateful for my father, and am so happy when I see him interact with his grandkids! He is the best grandpa I have ever seen! I'm so glad that he has given me the opportunity to be a nature girl, even when I wasn't sure I wanted to be one! He has taught me to love fishing, hiking and camping and just enjoy the outdoors! He has such a passion for working in his yard, and to me has the best landscape in the State of Utah! He has such a great work ethic, and has taught all of his children to have the same. I'm so excited for him to be my kids grandpa! Thanks to him for all he does! We love you!

Another father that I would like to thank is my brother, Greg, for being such an awesome father to my nieces and nephews. He is always willing to let his kids tag along with him wherever he goes, even if it means he doesn't get to take a shot at some birds, or put his line in the lake. He would do anything for those kids!I am also so thankful for my father-in-law. He is so light-hearted and always good for a laugh! He has been so great to provide us with exciting and fun vacations to Lake Powell and Mexico! He has definitely spoiled us! He is such a hard worker, and has been so great to help Billy grow in the HVAC business. He's such a family man and would do anything for his girls! He is always working to succeed in everything that he does and its so inspiring. I want to thank him for being him! We love you too!
