The last few days have been somewhat crazy. Billy's little sister, Whitney, was in an ATV accident on Billy's four wheeler and fractured her pelvis in 5 different places. It was a very scary ordeal! Just hearing over the phone that she had been in an accident and that she was being life flighted to UVRMC from Green River was enough to make me sick to my stomach...but actually seeing the life flight helicopter, and Whitney in that State was almost too much to handle.

After spending most the night in the ER getting cat scans, and pelvic scans she was admitted to the hospital to await surgery in the morning. She finally went into surgery the next day at around 3:30, and it went really well. She now is the proud owner of two plates, bolts and screws in her pelvis. I think back now to my ordeal when I broke my arm and just think how much worse it is for her! I mean, a limb is one thing, but to injury your core like that has to be the most awful thing! It breaks my heart seeing her in the bed barely able to move. But she is a tough chick and she's doing really well with it.
Its been really tough on Billy, he really hates seeing her in that vulnerable state. I think it kills him that he can't help her...he just wants to be able to ease her pain and make her better, but he can't. He's such a great brother, and I know he'll do whatever it takes to get her back up and moving.
She has a long road of recovery ahead, but her prognosis looks good! They hope to have her standing by tomorrow and hopefully home by the weekend.
