Little Sweet Irelyn Louise turned two months old on
me already!! We went to her 2 month check up and she has certainly
grown. She now weighs 10lbs 14 oz which is in the 50% and is 23 inches
long which is in the 75%. She is in the 10-15% for her weight for
length, so she is doing great! She had to get her first round of shots,
and I did surprisingly well...er, I mean she did surprisingly well! She
cried until I was able to pick her up and love on her a little. All
systems looked great, and the doc said she is perfect, but did I really
need the doc to tell me that!! Unfortunately those rotten shots have
made for a fussy day with a slight fever, so hopefully that goes away
soon!

She has now started smiling up a storm! She will
smile and coo at you all day long as long as she isn't hungry. Those
middle of the night wake ups are a little more bearable when you have
her smiling back at you. She is focusing really well, and will focus on
her toys and your face! She is discovering her hands and loves to just
stare at them all the time! She hates tummy time, but is holding her
head up with the best of them. Bath time is still one of her favorite
times and I know that if she is ever fussy after being fed, changed and
cuddled, that if we put her in the bath it will calm her right down. She
loves her bunny blanket, or as we call it her lovey. She loves to
snuggle with her bunny while she has a binky.

I had to start work this week, and I am a little bit
of a mess! I know she is in good hands, but I am missing hanging out
with her all day! Luckily, I am only going to be part time for now so I
will still have several days I can love on her all day long!
As
much as I want her to stay little, I can't wait for the next few
months! The holidays are going to be so much fun with her! I have
already started working on her Halloween costume!
