1 Month Old

Wow. One Month. Our little Firecracker has almost been here with us for an entire month! Can it be? I've decided not to blink anymore because I feel like every time I do another day goes by!

Irelyn is growing like a champ, but still feels like my little newborn to me! She can stay in this stage as long as she wants! She is starting to stay awake a little more, and loves to check out her surroundings. She loves her hands, and always wants them in her mouth, especially when she is eating! This makes for a little bit of a difficult time, but it's too cute to let it frustrate me! She hates to be swaddled, and will always have her feet and hands out of her blanket within seconds of being wrapped up. We've had a few sleepless nights because she loves to grunt ALL NIGHT LONG! We are trying some gripe water to see if it is because she has a tummy ache, but honestly I think she just really likes to do it! She recognizes voices and loves to hear you talk to her. She is a little daddy's girl, and will always fall asleep for him after mommy has tried her hardest to calm her down.
She is certainly the highlight of our lives and we are so excited she is part of our family!
